Every year in November, Puerto Vallarta’s most prestigious gourmet festival delights visitors to Banderas Bay and marks the start of the peak season. Puerto Vallarta’s XX International Gourmet Festival 2014 ran from November 13 through November 23, with a stunning array of events, guest chefs and special menus for vistors to enjoy.
This year’s International Gourmet Festival was even more spectacular than usual, marking the 20th anniversary of the culinary highlight of the year. Once again, world renowned chefs Heinz Reize, Thierry Blouet and Roland Menetrey came together to prepare an exceptionally mouth-watering program of events in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
Garza Blanca’s gourmet restaurant, BocaDos STK , featured in this year’s succulent program with a special menu crafted by Pan-Asian cuisine expert, Chef Juan Carlos Chavez, who will soon lead the kitchen at the new Hiroshi restaurant to open at Hotel Mousai next month. The theme of Chef Juan Carlos Chavez’s contribution to the prestigious festival was Avant Garde Japanese Cuisine, where he showcased some of the dishes soon to feature on the Hiroshi menu.
Garza Blanca Preserve is pleased to take part in this year’s anniversary celebration with its BocaDos STK restaurant featuring in the weeklong program offering a special menu on the theme of Avant Garde Japanese Cuisine created by Chef Juan Carlos Chavez. Soon to lead the kitchen at the new Pan-Asian restaurant, Hiroshi, which will open with the launch of Hotel Mousai next month, Chef Juan Carlos is an expert in sushi and asian cuisine.
Garza Blanca Residence Club Members who stayed at the hotel during the festival also had the opportunity to buy tickets for the Sensory Poolside Extravaganza event that took place on Sunday November 16 from 11am to 5pm at the Panoramic Pool next to BocaDos STK restaurant. Sponsored by Moët & Chandon and Patron tequila, the trendy brunch-lunch poolside gathering served flirty poolside dishes that played with typical fare and predictable presentation for an extraordinary culinary experience to the sounds of a DJ. Each food stand showcased a different culinary offering, including a live cooking demonstration and cocktails.
