As you may already know, Hotel Mousai – the only Five Diamond resort in the state of Jalisco – is expanding! Construction of the second tower, adjacent to the first, is already underway on the Garza Blanca Preserve complex in Puerto Vallarta. The existing Hotel Mousai will be connected to the new tower by an incredible bridge that is suspended high in the air by high columns that go through the existing trees.
This sensational hotel at the forefront of cutting-edge design and ultra-trendy elegance deserves a name that lives up to its divine promises. Mousai takes its name from the Greek word mousai or ‘muse’. The mousai according to Greek mythology were the 9 daughters of the Greek god Zeus and Mnemosyne. These inspirational goddesses were each gifted with a special aptitude. Historically, writers, poets and musicians called upon the muses when help or inspiration was needed.
Like the original Mousai, the second tower will be nothing less than spectacular, and our hope is that it will be a place where you can feed your imagination and be inspired by Mexico’s newest muse with its innovative design, extravagant interiors, and delectable cuisine.
The new 16-story tower will feature 72 luxury suites with stunning views of Banderas Bay. The room configuration will consist of 36 King Studio Suites, 20 King Corner Studio Suites and 12 Double Studio Suites with an additional 4 Penthouses. For larger groups, the new Mousai tower will offer connecting rooms for suites.
The suites will be masterful spaces that are works of art in their own right featuring the highest quality furniture and decor pieces in light and bright colors such as white, silver and gold. Each room will have a private terrace with jacuzzi and hammock. The luxurious and large beds will have signature TAFER mattresses and high cotton thread count linens ensuring that you will have the most comfortable night’s sleep. When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you’ll see will be the gorgeous views of Banderas Bay and the beautiful rock formations of Los Arcos National Marine Park.
The lobby of the first Hotel Mousai is striking with its high contrast of black and white marble, life size chess pieces, and red accents. The new Mousai lobby will be just as striking, but in its own way. The amazing landscape design as you drive up to the motor lobby will surely impress, as well as the double-height ceilings and re-designed black and white floors that take you to the reception lobby and give guests a taste of what else awaits them throughout the rest of the resort.
Next to the Lobby, the Lounge Bar will be a full-service bar where guests can have a cocktail while enjoying live music that is part of the Music for the Senses experience of Hotel Mousai, which features a Cuban quartet that will serenade you while you relax and unwind.
The Rooftop bar and lounge is one of the most fabulous spaces at the original Hotel Mousai, and the new Mousai tower will aim to compete with its own spectacular Rooftop.
This ultra-chic, flexible space will accommodate up to 126 guests for various activities and regular sunset cocktails. The new Rooftop will include a panoramic pool framed by spectacular views of Banderas Bay, two Jacuzzi hot tubs, a dining area as well as lounge chairs and umbrellas around the perimeter of the pool.
The Culinary scene will be top-notch, of course! Hotel Mousai is very excited to introduce its new gourmet Chinese cuisine concept restaurant called DAO.
DAO will become the centerpiece of the Mousai complex and will be located on the bridge between the two Mousai towers. This elevated, double-height ceiling restaurant will have 150 seats, modern interior design with red and white colors, and gorgeous views of the ocean and surrounding jungle.
In addition, the new tower will feature an Italian restaurant situated on the ground floor with capacity for 139 guests for breakfast and dinner, serving culinary delights such as delicious pastas and pizzas prepared in a fabulous open kitchen.
