While there are many beautiful beaches in and around Puerto Vallarta, Garza Blanca Beach is one of 10 beaches in Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding area with the international Blue Flag accreditation.
The Blue Flag badge is a highly respected and recognized eco-label in 47 countries used by the FEE to certify that beaches around the world are environmentally friendly, clean and safe. Mexico has a total of 53 Blue Flag beaches.
The best way to enjoy this beautiful beach located right in front of Garza Blanca Preserve Resort and Spa, is to stay at the resort or its neighboring Hotel Mousai. Just imagine yourself swimming in pristine waters, achieving a golden tan, and experiencing one of the most idyllic tropical vacations of your life.
Garza Blanca actually means ‘white heron’ and while these birds are rarely spotted in many places around the world, they can often be seen along the shoreline, close to Los Arcos national park, diving for fish amongst the seagulls and the pelicans.
Experts say that right now Garza Blanca Beach is in the best condition it has been in for years. The reason is that a lot of the soft sand that covered the shore was taken away by big waves in previous years. In order to prevent this, a breakwater of boulders was added to close off the beach and help to reduce the swell, which also helped to accumulate sand and retain it.
The shore is now covered with powder fine sand making it a very comfortable place to relax and sunbathe. With our Blue Flag certification, you can be assured of the cleanliness of the water as you take a refreshing swim to cool off in the crystal-clear azure waters of Banderas Bay.
If you would like a little more privacy, we have an exclusive beach area for our elite members, plus exclusive lounge chairs and direct access to the beach. Reservations are required. Please contact the butler department on extension 5609/5608 for further information.
