UVCI’s top priority is to protect you, your membership and your investment. Unfortunately, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, fraudulent opportunities have arisen for scam artists to take advantage of. Make sure you protect yourself by being aware and exercising good judgement, so that you do not fall for one of their unscrupulous schemes. Below are some helpful tips on how to identify, avoid and report a scam, along with educational resources directly from ARDA, our industry partner.    How can I be sure that I have been contacted by a Scam Artist?   Unfortunately, sometimes it can be difficult to know whether the person on the other end of the phone is a scammer or not. They are experts at what they do and they know how to approach you like a professional. You should always trust your gut instinct. If they are offering you a deal that seems too good to be true, chances are that it is. They may try contacting you via email to ask you to rent or sell your timeshare and present an attractive offer. Another tactic they use is to call you and pose as someone who works for our organization or a resort. Secure the Holidays by Booking in Advance

The holidays are an ideal time to get away with your loved ones and enjoy warm weather, cool ocean breezes, leisure time at the beach and luxury accommodations at your home away from home.  Since the holidays are peak season, you can improve your chances of securing a reservation by booking ahead. The Garza Blanca Residence Club booking system works on a first come, first served basis, so the earlier you book, the more likely it is you will have your dream holiday vacation in paradise.  The holiday weeks have a higher point value than other weeks in the year, so upgrading your membership increases your chances even further. The smaller units are the most economical, and therefore the most popular. When you have enough points to cover a larger unit, there is more availability and you will generally find it easier to make a reservation during peak times. The more points you have, the more options you have.    There are a number of requirements that must be met to be able to book holiday time using your Garza Blanca Residence Club membership. Standardization of Discounts

We have tremendous appreciation for all our members. Through your support and loyalty, you have earned the right to special treatment including discounts and benefits.   Previously, there was some confusion about discounts, as some of the resorts were handling the program differently in each region. To make things easier, we have simplified the whole process and now members will get the same great benefits no matter where they choose to stay! Make sure you take advantage of the member discounts you are entitled to.  All resorts will offer three different types of cards:  Gold Card: All regular Gold Members will receive a 10 per cent discount on Food & Beverage outlets, Spa Services and Activities/Tours through Travel Agencies. Members are not required to attend a sales presentation and can request their gold card upon check-in.   *Please note: the discount on food and beverage is not applicable to all inclusive plan guests. No other promotions can be combined and are not applicable when a member is using the Gold card.  Elite Card: All 4-Star, 5-Star and Residence Club Elite members will receive a 15 per cent discount on Food & Beverage outlets, Spa Services and Activities/Tours through Travel Agencies. There are many ways that you can use your membership and the more club points you own, the greater flexibility you will have to stay in the types of suites you love best and for as long as you wish.    The great thing is that your membership is ready to be tailored to your specific vacation needs and preferences. If you are celebrating a special occasion and you want to bring additional family members with you, or if you decide to have two vacations in a year, you probably already know that you can upgrade or purchase more points. If you won’t have the chance to travel this year, take advantage of the option to bank your points to get the maximum value from your membership.   Why bank your Club points?  If you won’t be able to make time for a vacation this year, take advantage of banking your points to save up for an extra special vacation next year where you can apply any unused club points to vacation for longer, upgrade your unit size or even vacation twice. Please note that Biennial members have certain limitations on unit size upgrades or banking options. Understanding the ins and outs of how your member time works is key to getting the most out of your membership.  In this article, we answer some common questions to help you plan ahead.  Seasons of your Membership  Your membership is divided by seasons, with each season requiring a different amount of points to reserve accommodations. The three seasons are: Holidays, Winter and Summer.  Holiday season requires the most points to book, Winter season requires less points than Holiday season, and Summer season requires the fewest points. There are a few other restrictions, which are outlined below. HOLIDAY SEASON Holiday season weeks are the most popular weeks of the year for members to travel, and these weeks are also the time of year when the resort is in highest demand, so it’s important book as early as possible.
